Kolkata: The ‘Fit India Sunday on Cycle’ rally was held in Kolkata on Sunday morning, February 9. The rally, organized by the Sports Authority of India, was flagged off by National President of Rugby Sports and Bollywood actor Rahul Bose. The rally, which started from the local Salt Lake, was held for 20 km. Many athletes from India and abroad participated in it. The event created awareness about cycling and staying physically fit, environmental protection, etc. Haresh Bagarty, a mountaineer and cyclist from Kesinga town of Kalahandi district, participated in the event organized in Kolkata and raised the prestige of the state of Odisha.
