नई दिल्ली: देश का डिजिटल मीडिया अब केंद्रीय सूचना व प्रसारण मंत्रालय के अधीन आ गया है। केंद्र सरकार ने बुधवार को इस आशय का आदेश जारी कर दिया। इस बारे में फैसला बीते सप्ताह मंत्रिमंडल की बैठक में लिया गया था।

इसे कार्य आंबंटन एक्ट 1961 के अधीन लाया जा रहा है और 357वां संशोधन अधिनियम 2020 कहा गया है.
अब डिजिटल मीडिया भी सूचना एवं प्रसारण मंत्रालय के अधीन और नियंत्रण में होगा। आदेश के अनुसार अब ऑनलाइन फिल्मों, ऑडियो-विजुअल कार्यक्रमों और ऑनलाइन समाचार और करेंट अफेयर्स (सम सामयिक) के कंटेट (सामग्री) सूचना और प्रसारण मंत्रालय के तहत आएंगे।
सरकार का यह आदेश तत्काल प्रभाव से लागू हो गया है। आदेश के अनुसार ऑनलाइन विषय-वस्तु प्रदाताओं द्वारा उपलब्ध कराए गए फिल्म और दृश्य-श्रव्य कार्यक्रम औरऑनलाइन प्लेटफॉर्म पर समाचार और समसामयिक विषय-वस्तु सूचना मंत्रालय के अधीन आएंगे।
