Bisamcuttack: Sister Nancy Henry, a well-known social worker and educationist from Bismakatak area of Rayagada district, passed away. She passed away at around 8:30 am on Monday. She was 91 years old at the time of her death. Her demise has cast a shadow of grief in the entire Bisamcuttack and Muniguda areas. Sister Nancy Henry was well-known as the wife of Dr. V.K. Henry. Together, both husband and wife created a new chapter of service in the area as the founders of Bisamcuttack Christian Hospital in Rayagada district of Odisha. She was known as a dedicated employee, efficient administrator and a religious woman. “Service to humanity is service to God” – she fulfilled this ideal through her work. Sister Nancy had a significant contribution in establishing the CHB Nursing Training Center. He proved his mettle by working as the Nursing Superintendent of the hospital, Principal of the School of Nursing and Vice Chairman of the NLEM School. Many students of Bisamcuttack and Muniguda areas have benefited from the prestigious NLEM School established under his supervision. After working for many years at CHB, he retired and lived happily with his son Dr. Anil Henry. After the news of his demise spread, condolences have been expressed from various quarters. His last rites were performed at the Bisamcuttack JLC graveyard at 4 pm on Tuesday.
