Kalahandi, YNN (Lingaraj Mishra): The Sarian Cluster-Level Children’s Festival ‘Surabhi-2025’ was held on the premises of Sarian Upper Primary School, under Narla Block in Kalahandi District. The festival featured competitions among pupils, including debates, essay writing, drawing, quizzes, creative writing, elocution, singing, Odia dictation and handwriting, cultural programmes, and PM Poshan art and craft competitions.
The prize distribution ceremony was chaired by Sadhuram Bhoi, Headmaster of Sarian Panchayat High School. The chief guest was Narla Senior BEO Tapimani Jani, with distinguished guests including ABEO-cum-BRCC Gobardhan Majhi, ABEO Sudhaldev Mund, ABEO Suryadev Bag, Sarian Samiti Member Bhaskar Bhoi, General Secretary of Narla Primary Teachers’ Association Amit Sharma, Headmaster of Sarian Upper Primary School Tankadhar Saha, Headmaster of Chiapadar Upper Primary School Pradipta Sethi, and CRCC Jitendra Sahu. The event was compered by teacher Sudhir Dhangadamajhi.
CRCC Jitendra Sahu delivered the welcome address, whilst teacher Basudev Bag proposed the vote of thanks. Teachers including Gokul Sahu, Bhagaban Majhi, Sukadev Saha, Debaraj Pradhan, Laxmidhar Sahu, Chandramani Nag, Lambodar Behera, Krutanjal Sahu, Ganganarayan Dash, Jagannath Murmu, Hemanta Sahu, Kishor Tripathi, and Balabhadra Harijan, along with all teachers of the cluster, contributed to the organisation of the festival.
