Lakhiram Agrawal Higher Secondary School Celebrates ‘Nabapallab’ Programme

Kalahandi/YNN (Rajat Bansal): Lakhiram Agrawal Higher Secondary School in Behera, Dharmagarh Block of Kalahandi district recently hosted a heartwarming event to welcome new students as part of their annual programme, ‘Nabapallab.’ The second-year students extended warm greetings to their juniors, offering flowers and chandan (sandalwood paste) as symbols of love, respect, and good wishes.

The event, held on the school premises, was graced by several dignitaries. College Principal Nirmal Chandra Naik presided over the proceedings, emphasizing the importance of fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all students. Lecturer Ranjan Kumar Panda delivered an inspiring keynote address, encouraging the newcomers to embrace learning and personal growth.

Among the honoured guests were lecturer Nikunj Sahu and lecturer Mohan Charan Bishi. Library Assistant Fakir Chandi and Physical Education Teacher (PET) Surendra Sahu also attended the event. Notably, the gathering included alumni of the institute, who shared their experiences and insights with the fresh batch of students.

Young poet Rajat Bansal graced the occasion, offering valuable advice to the students. His words resonated with the audience, motivating them to strive for excellence and build a bright future. Rajat eloquently stated: “How you build yourself now will determine your place in the future. Once this time is gone, it will never come again. Therefore, without wasting time, one must use every moment to build not only their own future but also that of their family, village, region, and country.”

The programme featured captivating performances by the second-year students. Hemangini Naik, Koyal Nag, and Madhusmita Sunani mesmerised the audience with a soulful welcome song. Additionally, the second-year students took turns sharing their own experiences, creating a sense of camaraderie and unity.

Ruturaj Barik and Hemangini Naik skillfully moderated the proceedings, ensuring a smooth flow of events. The cultural segment was a highlight, with Maniraj Naik, Hukmat Rana, Hemraj Khamari, and Kavita Naik coordinating lively dances and entertaining comedies.

As the event concluded, Karna Rana expressed gratitude on behalf of the organising team, thanking everyone for their participation and support. Ashok Chandi and Sanurya Gopal, along with other second-year students, played crucial roles in ensuring the success of the programme.
