Kalahandi, YNN (Rajat Bansal): The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Pragati Institutions in Risingpur, near Bhawanipatna city. The event saw Mr Ajay Kumar Panda, Secretary of Pragati Institute, as the chief guest, and Sushree Sangeeta Panda, the chairperson, as the guest of honour.
The ceremony was attended by Administrative Officer Pranab Kumar Panda, Principal Arsiya Saila, along with faculty members Chinmay Guru, Loknath Khadikar, Seshadev Mund, Tapas Parimanik, as well as students and their parents.
The celebrations began with the flag hoisting by the guest of honour, Sushree Sangeeta Panda, followed by the singing of the National Anthem by the students. A cultural programme featuring various performances by the students was also organised to mark the occasion.
In addition, prizes were distributed to students who excelled in competitions held earlier. Lecturer Bidyasagar Mund moderated the event and concluded with a vote of thanks.
