Farewell Meeting Held for Retired Headmaster Doleswar Sahu

Kalahandi, YNN— On Friday, the Govt. Upper Primary School in Budhipadar, Narla Block, bid farewell to their esteemed headmaster, Mr. Doleswar Sahu, who has retired after a dedicated career. The farewell meeting, organised by the alumni association and attended by current students, took place within the school premises.

The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Sarojini Bagarty, the headmistress of Budhipadar Upper Primary School, and Educationist Gunanidhi Dhangdamajhi, who served as the Chief Guest. Jagadish Prasad Sahu, Balbaspur CRCC, was the Guest of Honour, while Rajanikant Biswal, a teacher from Raksi High School, and Surendra Majhi, Chairman of the School Management Committee, were also present.

During the meeting, participants reflected on Mr. Sahu’s impactful work style. Under his leadership, the students of Budhipadar Upper Primary School achieved excellence in education, sports, and other fields, bringing honor to the region. Mr. Sahu began his teaching career on October 5, 1992, and joined this school in 2012. His retirement date was May 31, 2024.

Sanjay Kumar Dhangdamajhi, a former student of Budhipadar Upper Primary School and now a senior lawyer, coordinated the proceedings. In a heartfelt gesture, the School Management Committee Chairman, Surendra Majhi, expressed gratitude to the retiring headmaster.

As part of the felicitation, Mr. Doleswar Sahu received a plaque, towel and gifts. The Alumni association and all members of the School Management Committee actively participated in the programme. Following the meeting, villagers from Budhipadar accompanied the departing headmaster in a grand procession to his home in Turla, Kesinga block.
