गुरुग्राम (हरियाणा): अहीरवाल युवा सेना के तत्वावधान मे अहीर रेजीमेंट मिशन व कौमी एकता को मजबूत करने के लिए महेश मुकदम एवं राज यादव द्वारा गुरूग्राम में प्रथम सभा आयोजित की गई। कार्यक्रम में अनेक राज्यों से समाज का प्रतिनिधि मंडल पहुंचा।
महेश मुकदम ने कहा कि अहीर रेजीमेंट की मांग करीब 100 साल पुरानी है। भारतीय सेना में अहीर जवानों ने जितना त्याग दिया है, उतना किसी अन्य समाज ने नहीं दिया। सेना में कुमाऊं, गढ़वाल, कश्मीर, नागालैंड आदि क्षेत्र आधारित रेजीमेंट है और अहीरवाल भी सैनिकों की नर्सरी के तौर पर पहचान रखता है।
प्रथम व द्वितीय विश्वयुद्ध में हजारों युवाओं ने भाग लेकर अपनी कुर्बानी दी थी। अलग-अलग राज्यों से आए अनेक वक्ताओं ने भी अपने विचार रखे।
