Malkangiri: As many as three persons were injured during a stampede like situation during Malyabanta Mahotsav of the district.
According to reports, over 40,000 people had gathered at the DNK Ground to enjoy the cultural programme organised on the last day of the five-day festival on Tuesday.
A huge rush during the festival led to the situation leaving at least three injured. The injured persons were immediately rushed to the district headquarters hospital (DHH).
Malkangiri Malyabanta was organised in the district after a gap of two years of Covid-19.
It is pertinent to mention that one person had died and 20 sustained critical injuries in a stampede on the Gopinathpur-Badamba T Bridge in Athagarh, Cuttack on Saturday.
