Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Regional Centre here has issued rainfall alert in several districts of Odisha in next 24 hours.
As per the latest bulletin, heavy rainfall (7 to 11 cm) very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Nabarangpur, Ganjam, Puri, Khordha, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Balasore and Bhadrak today.
The rainfall activity may also affect Rabana Podi events at various places in the districts.
On the other hand, the low pressure area over westcentral Bay of Bengal off Andhra Pradesh coast now lies over westcentral Bay of Bengal & adjoining Andhra Pradesh with the associated cyclonic circulation extending up to 5.8 km above mean sea level tilting southwestwards with height, added the IMD in its morning bulletin today.
