Everest Summit in Kathmandu: Everest climber Yogvyas Bhoi felicitated with medal

Kathmandu, Yadu News Nation: The ‘Everest Summit’ of world-class Everest climbers was held in Kathmandu, Nepal. Everest climbers from all over the world participated in this event organized by an organization called Everest Alliance. Everest climber Yogvyas Bhoi from Rupra village of Kalahandi district represented Odisha. In the evening, all the Everest climbers had dinner together and discussed mutual friendship. Later, the Everest Summit Medal was presented to everyone. After a long 15 years, Everest climber Yogvyas Bhoi shared his experience of Everest expedition journey in Kathmandu, Nepal. The next day, the President of Nepal Ramachandra Paudel, was the chief guest and had breakfast with all the Everest summiteers where Everest climber Yogvyas Bhoi was also felicitated by the President. Later, the Nepalese Tourism Minister and ambassadors of various countries attended and felicitated the Everest climbers from 1995 to 2025 with medals, Rudraksha and Summit Medals where Everest climber Yogvyas Bhoi was also felicitated for successfully climbing Everest in 2011. He was the only Everest climber from Odisha to participate in this international event and was felicitated. Important discussions on the protection of the Himalayas, climate change, opportunities for Everest climbers, the role of women mountaineers, development of tourism, etc. were held in this event and formal decisions were taken. Everest Alliance President Sudarshan Nepal and the officials along with the editors and officials felicitated the Everest climbers with complete management of the program. On this occasion, Shri Bhoi, who has climbed Mount Everest 32 times and is a Guinness Book of Records and international record holder, met with Nepalese Kamrita Sherpa, Everest climbers from Turkey, China, England, Russia, France, Australia, Japan, America and many other countries and discussed various adventurous issues. Along with this, a meeting of mountaineers will also be held in Odisha and steps will be taken to bring a team to Mount Everest Base Camp this year, Shri Bhoi said. For this, the District Magistrate of Kalahandi district, the Superintendent of Police, National-level senior mountaineer Romanchal Bhoi, Assistant Professor Dr. Ghanashyam Behera, mountaineer of Maa Manikeshwari University, Naval Officer Nalini Kant Rana, Kendra Sahitya Academy Youth Award-winning writer Dileswar Rana, journalist Ajay Senapati, Senior journalist Sattanarayan Mohapatra, along with many other dignitaries, the adventurous sportsmen of his team, and the entire district and state have congratulated him.
