Bhawanipatna, YNN: Visually impaired students who successfully passed the 2025–26 Matriculation examinations were honoured at the Sadbhavana Griha in the office of the Kalahandi Collector. The event was organised in collaboration with Samagra Shiksha and Sightsavers India.
A total of 24 visually impaired students from various blocks across the district were recognised for their remarkable achievements in the matriculation exams. Additional District Magistrate Tanmay Kumar Darwan attended as the chief guest and extended his congratulations to all the successful students. He offered high praise for their courage, dedication and perseverance, despite social and physical obstacles.
The ceremony was also attended by District Education Officer Radhakanta Chhatri, District Social Security Officer Dinesh Kumar Kanhar, Additional District Education Officers Tapimani Jani and Shubhalakshmi Nayak, Inclusive Education Coordinator Lipika Aparajita, as well as several Block Education Officers.
Among the successful visually impaired students, Miss Sagarika Meher earned special commendation for securing 80 per cent marks. In recognition of her outstanding performance, the Additional District Magistrate presented her with a memento, a study table and a bag.
Parents expressed their gratitude to the district administration, Samagra Shiksha, and Sightsavers India for organising such an encouraging event.
