Mega Enrollment Drive for Open Schooling in Narla: 114 Dropout Students Brought Back into Education Fold

Kalahandi, YNN (Lingaraj Mishra): In a significant initiative aimed at reintegrating out-of-school children and school dropouts into the mainstream of education, a mega enrollment camp was organised at the premises of Narla Panchayat Samiti High School for admission into the State Institute of Open Schooling (SIOS) and the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS).

A total of 114 dropout students registered themselves free of cost during the camp. Of these, 103 students enrolled for the Class XII (+2) level under the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), while 11 opted for the Class X level under the State Institute of Open Schooling (SIOS). The students duly filled the application forms and submitted the necessary documents.

The programme was led by Narla Senior BEO Tapimani Jani. ABEO-cum-BRCC Gobardhan Majhi, along with all the CRCCs of the block, were present and extended their full cooperation.

Susmita Sunamudi, Acting Headmistress of Narla Panchayat Samiti High School and Block Coordinator for SIOS, also actively participated in the drive.

Speaking on the occasion, senior BEO Tapimani Jani stated that efforts would continue in the coming days to bring even more children under this programme and reconnect them with formal education. He expressed optimism that such initiatives would substantially reduce the dropout rate and play a vital role in empowering the younger generation through education.
