Kalahandi, YNN: The annual function Samarpan 2025 was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Pragati Institutions, located near Bhawanipatna. The occasion was graced by Shri Srikanta Chatterjee, retired Chief Commissioner of the Income Tax Department, as the Chief Guest, and Dr Bhagaban Jaysingh, retired Additional Director of the Higher Education Department, as the Guest of Honour.
Among the distinguished attendees were Er Ajay Kumar Panda, Chief of Pragati Institutions; Sangeeta Panda, Chairperson; Pranab Kumar Panda, Administrative Officer; Chinmaya Guru, Principal of Concept School; Sesadev Mund, Principal of the Higher Secondary School; Tapas Parimanjik, Principal of the Degree College; Loknath Khadikar, Principal of the Collegiate School; Arsia Saela, Principal of the Junior School; Rajshri Naik, Principal of the Primary School; Lakshmikanta Behera, Chairman of the Pragati Management Committee; and Bhabendra Panda, among others.
The event honoured students who achieved exceptional academic results—those scoring above 90 per cent in the previous academic year, topping district, school, and university examinations in Classes X and XII, as well as excelling in various national-level tests. The awards, instituted in memory of the institution’s founder, the late Banamali Panda, included the Banamali Panda Vidya Ratna Samman, Vidya Vijay Samman, Vidyarathi Samman, and Vidya Vibhushan Samman.
Prizes were also presented to the winners of the Pragati Pratibha Puraskar examination held during the current academic session. Shriyanshi Sahu won the first prize, followed by Priyabrata Nag in second place and Bhupesh Naik in third.
The programme was compered by teacher Bidyasagar Mund. Following the formal proceedings, students presented a lively and colourful cultural performance that captivated the audience. The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks from Administrative Officer Pranab Kumar Panda, who expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of Samarpan 2025.
