Kalahandi, YNN (Lingaraj Mishra): Pragati Institutions celebrated its annual sports meet, “Spark-2025”, with great enthusiasm.
The two-day event was formally inaugurated by Mr Bipin Bihari Deep, Block Development Officer of Narla, who graced the occasion as chief guest. Among the dignitaries present were the institution’s director Ajay Kumar Panda, chairperson Sangeeta Panda, administrative officer Pranab Kumar Panda, management committee member Lakshmikant Behera, principal Sheshdev Mund, Chinmaya Guru, Tapas Parimanik, Loknath Khadikar, Arshia Saila, Rajshree Nayak, and several others.
The ceremony commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by the arrival of the torch, a colourful march-past by the students, and the administration of the sports oath. Chief guest Shri Deep then officially declared the festival open. In his address to the students, Mr Deep highlighted the crucial role of sport in fostering a healthy and disciplined lifestyle.
The second day concluded with a prize-distribution ceremony in the evening, where outstanding performers were awarded medals and trophies.
The sports festival was smoothly coordinated under the guidance of physical education teachers Shashibhushan Das and Santosh Kumar.
