Kalahandi, YNN (Nilesh Kumar Nag): Under the themes ‘Swachh Jivan, Swasth Jivan’ (Clean Life, Healthy Life) and ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ (Cleanliness is Service), a programme was organised by Akashvani and Doordarshan Kendra, Bhawanipatna, at the Government Higher Secondary School, Sagada, located approximately 13 kilometres from Bhawanipatna, the district headquarters of Kalahandi.
The event was attended by Akashvani Bhawanipatna’s Deputy Director General (Engineering) Madan Kumar Singh, Senior Announcer and Acting Programme Head Sachidananda Mallik, Librarian Dillip Kumar Patra, along with all staff members of Akashvani and Doordarshan, Bhawanipatna. The Acting Principal of Sagada Government Higher Secondary School, Judhishthira Muduli, together with all teachers, non-teaching staff, and students, were also present.
During the programme, a collective cleanliness drive was conducted. Students were encouraged to maintain hygiene and sanitation not only within the school premises but also in their homes, villages, and surrounding areas. At the end of the event, all participants took a pledge to adopt cleanliness as a core commitment.
