LKalahandi, YNN (Lingaraj Mishra): The cluster-level Children’s Festival, Surabhi-2025, was organised at the premises of Palam Upper Primary School within the Narla Block. The event, chaired by CRCC Dileswar Rana, was graced by chief guest Durgaprasad Mohanty, Chairman of Narla Block, and chief speaker Tapimani Jani, Senior BEO of Narla. Distinguished guests included BRCC Gobardhan Majhi, ABEOs Suryadev Bag and Sudhaldev Mund, Secretary of Kalahandi Kalakar Sangha Sheshadev Mishra, young writer Sudhir Kumar Dhangadamajhi, Sarian CRCC Jitendra Sahu, Headmaster of Palam Upper Primary School Bipra Bagarty, Vice-Chairman of the School Management Committee Uma Mishra, and school land donor Natabar Sahu, among others.
Students from 11 schools within the cluster participated in various competitions, including debates, essay writing, drawing, quiz, creative writing, elocution, music, Odia handwriting and dictation, cultural programme, PM Poshan art and craft competitions. Successful students were awarded certificates and prizes. It was announced that the top-performing students would participate in the upcoming block-level Surabhi event. The inaugural ceremony was attended by notable figures such as prominent entrepreneur Bibhu Prasad Sahu, Tulapada CRCC Nilamani Sahu, and Sarian CRCC Jitendra Sahu.
The cultural programme was managed by senior teacher Manoj Sahu. The event was supported by teachers and staff, including Chhandacharan Dharua, Jagannath Majhi, Yuvraj Jani, Biswambhar Harpal, Minaketan Behera, Rajesh Sahu, Pratap Sahu, Jnanendra Gahir, Biswambhar Parida, Ritural Majhi, Suchismita Pradhan, Manoj Nanda, Anita Maharana, Yogeshri Majhi, Hrushi Patel, Milina Sahu, Biswamitra Gahir, Nirmala Behera, Biranchi Nayak, Venkat Majhi, Rajib Gahir, and Sesha Bag, among others.
