“BJP’s Central Leadership Harbours a Step-Motherly Attitude Towards Odisha”
Samajwadi Party’s PDA Panchayat in Bhawanipatna
Kalahandi, Yadu News Nation (Nilesh Kumar Nag): Sunil Singh Yadav, National Spokesperson and Odisha In-Charge of the Samajwadi Party, arrived at Kalahandi for a visit. He was warmly welcomed by party members in front of the Bhawanipatna ITI. Following this, party workers accompanied Mr. Yadav in a grand motorcycle procession to the Circuit House, where a PDA Panchayat programme was held.

The event, chaired by Kalahandi District President Jagdish Yadav, was attended by Sunil Singh Yadav, National Spokesperson and Odisha In-Charge, Odisha State President Shiba Hati Yadav, State Vice-President Debendra Kanhar, State General Secretary Pratap Kishor Barik, State Media Cell President Pradeep Mishra, and State Secretary Sunil Kumar Dhangadamajhi Yadav, among others. They emphasised the need to strengthen the party further.

During the event, Mr. Yadav sharply criticised both the Central and State governments, stating that despite the BJP’s slogan of a developed Odisha, the state has been completely neglected. He accused the BJP’s central leadership of adopting a step-motherly attitude towards Odisha in every sphere, whether it be the demand for special state status or other areas, where Odisha continues to be ignored. He further remarked that under the “double engine” government, Odisha has been sidelined.

At the event, State President Shiba Hati Yadav spoke about the PDA Panchayat and the Samajwadi Party’s objectives, stating, “The Samajwadi Party is a disciplined organisation rooted in the ideals of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, and Mulayam Singh Yadav. It was born out of the struggle for the constitutional rights of backward classes. The failure of the double engine government has frustrated the people of Odisha, and in this context, the Samajwadi Party continues its fight for the rights and constitutional entitlements of the backward, Dalit, and minority communities (PDA).”

On this occasion, many young individuals from the BJP, BJD, and Congress joined the Samajwadi Party. Among others present were State General Secretary of the Youth Wing Ramakanta Hati (Mantu), State President of the Minority Wing Mohammad Sahabuddin, State Treasurer Bishwamitra Podh, Praveen Nayak, District Vice-Presidents Shobhaban Bhati and Dhabaleswar Majhi, Kalahandi District President of the Farmers’ Wing Rajendra Gadtia, Bhawanipatna Block President Kirtichandra Goud, Tulamani Nag, along with all district office bearers and workers. The programme concluded with Kalahandi District General Secretary Santosh Kumar Bhoi delivering the vote of thanks.
