Kalahandi, YNN (Rajat Bansal): The 30th District-Level Bharat Scouts and Guides Camporee 2024–25 of Kalahandi district was successfully completed at Panchayat High School, Medinipur. The event was organised under the leadership of IPE-cum-Secretary Bharat Scouts & Guides, Kalahandi, Rupasingh Rout. A total of 277 Scouts and 65 Guides from 124 schools of the district took part in this camp.
The main aim of the camporee was to teach students discipline, leadership, self-confidence, good character, and creativity through different interesting activities. The closing ceremony was conducted under the chairmanship of District Education Officer-cum-District Chief Commissioner of Scouts & Guides, Radhakant Chhatri.
The Chief Guest was Nityananda Gond, Minister of School and Mass Education, Odisha. Rajya Sabha MP Sujit Kumar and Additional District Magistrate Tanmay Darwan also attended as special guests. Among other important guests were former District Education Officer Sushant Kumar Chopdar, Nabarangpur DEO Chhatrapati Sahu, Narla Senior Block Education Officer Tapimani Jani, social worker Jugal Kishore Podh, Medinipur Sarpanch Gouri Kumar Mishra, and host school’s Headmaster-cum-Organising Secretary Sushil Kumar Biswal.
Beautiful dance performances were given by artists from Sangam Dance Academy, Bhawanipatna. Students of Panchayat High School, Medinipur, sang a touching farewell song. Teacher Prabhat Kumar Rath welcomed the guests and moderated the event. Teachers Shaswati Mohapatra and Shrutisilva Panda handled the prize distribution. Additional District Education Officer Pavitra Mohan Sahu gave the vote of thanks.
