Narla Bar Association Election Results Announced

Kalahandi, YNN (Lingaraj Mishra): The elections for 157 Bar Associations across the state were held together on Saturday. The voting followed the “one bar, one vote, one election” rule, meaning each lawyer could only vote at one association. In this process, the election for the Narla Bar Association in Kalahandi district concluded peacefully, and the results have been declared.

The election saw the selection of a new president, vice-president, secretary, joint secretary, library secretary, and treasurer. As per the instructions of the State Bar Council, senior lawyer Jubaraj Harijan served as the election officer for Narla. The announcement of the results has brought a wave of joy among the members of the Narla Bar Association.

Jubaraj Harijan, the election officer, revealed that Goura Harijan has been elected as the new president of the Narla Bar Association without any opposition. Himadri Kumar Swain was chosen as vice-president, Bishwa Ranjan Bhoi as secretary, Bibhuti Bhushan Bahidar as joint secretary, Pradipta Mishra as library secretary, and Dr Sanjay Dhangadamajhi as treasurer.

The newly elected team has received warm congratulations from Narla MLA Manorama Mohanty, Narla Block Chairman Durgaprasad Mohanty, and Dr Sunil Kumar Dhangdamajhi, who is the editor-in-chief of Odia Barta and managing trustee of Devgiri Matha. They expressed their best wishes for the new committee’s success in serving the association and the community.
