Kalahandi, YNN (Rajat Bansal): The Pragati Patha Mahotsav 2024 was inaugurated today, marking the second anniversary of the founder of Pragati Institutions, Banmali Panda. The festival commenced with a state-level fine art workshop held on the premises of Pragati Institutions.
The event was graced by several distinguished guests, including Governor’s award-winning teacher and artist Prabhas Chandra Mishra, Principal of Kalahandi Art College Chintu Prasad Naik, and the head of Pragati Institutions, Er. Ajay Kumar Panda. Other notable attendees included Administrative Officer Pranab Kumar Panda, Member of the Management Committee Laxmikant Behera, Concept School Principal Chinmay Guru, Higher Secondary School Principal Seshadev Mund, Collegiate School Principal Loknath Khadikar, Degree College Principal Tapas Parimanik, Manas Ranjan Panda, J Sarat Kumar, Anjan Kumar Rana, and Jayadratha Suna.
During the inauguration, Mr. Panda felicitated Mr. Mishra and Mr. Naik. The workshop saw enthusiastic participation from students of Kalahandi Art College and artists from various parts of the state, including Ganjam, Khurda, Mayurbhanj, and Bargarh.
The programme was coordinated by Odia lecturer Ashok Kumar Sahu, with Manas Ranjan Panda proposing the vote of thanks. The festival promises to be a vibrant celebration of art and culture, honouring the legacy of Banmali Panda.
