Kalahandi, YNN (Lingaraj Mishra): The Narla Block-level launch of the ‘Nipun Odisha’ logo took place at Panchayat Samiti High School in a ceremony that emphasised the importance of strengthening foundational education. Block Education Officer (BEO) Tapimani Jani presided over the event, with Narla Tehsildar Biswanath Kanhar as the chief guest. Distinguished guests included Additional Block Development Officer Devendra Samal, Additional Block Education Officer cum BRCC Gobardhan Majhi, Additional Block Education Officer Suryadev Bag, and PS High School Headmistress Archana Dash, who together unveiled the new logo.
In his opening remarks, BEO Jani outlined the core mission of the ‘Nipun Odisha’ programme, which focuses on supporting students in Years 1 to 3 who face challenges in literacy and numeracy. He noted that the initiative forms part of a wider government effort to improve educational standards across Odisha, starting from the grassroots level.
The event saw active participation from 17 Cluster Resource Centre Coordinators (CRCCs), 50 headteachers, and 40 Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) teachers, who were present to show their support for the programme. The proceedings were ably managed by Tulapada CRCC Nilamani Sahu, while Khairmal CRCC Firoj Kumar Padhan delivered the vote of thanks, bringing the event to a close.
The ‘Nipun Odisha’ programme is recognised as a vital step in ensuring that young learners receive the foundational support they need to succeed academically. By focusing on early education, the programme aims to equip students with the essential skills to thrive in their future academic endeavours.
