Santosh Kumar Kar and Dwiti Chandra Sahu to Receive National Teachers’ Awards 2024

Bhubaneswar, YNN (Lingraj Mishra/ Rajat Bansal): In recognition of their exceptional contributions to the field of education, two teachers from Odisha, Santosh Kumar Kar of Jaya Durga High School, Narla Road, Kalahandi, and Dwiti Chandra Sahu of Government High School, Billesu, Rayagada, have been selected for the prestigious National Teachers’ Awards 2024.

The Ministry of Education, Government of India, announced the awardees in an official communication. The National Teachers’ Awards 2024 celebrate outstanding educators who have demonstrated excellence in teaching and significant contributions to their students and community.

Santosh Kumar Kar and Dwiti Chandra Sahu will be honoured for their innovative teaching methods, dedication to student development, and commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. Their selection for this esteemed award underscores the high standards of education they have maintained in their respective schools.

The award ceremony is scheduled for September 5, 2024, at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, coinciding with the celebration of Teachers’ Day. The ceremony will recognise teachers from across the country who have made substantial contributions to education. Each award includes a certificate of merit, a cash prize of ₹50,000, and a silver medal.
