Students of Kalahandi Celebrated National Space Day

Kalahandi, YNN (Rajat Bansal): Students from all government schools in Kalahandi district enthusiastically celebrated National Space Day. The event, held under the guidance of District Education Officer Sushant Kumar Chopdar, featured a variety of educational activities aimed at fostering interest in space exploration and technology.

As part of the National Space Day celebrations, students participated in several activities, including poster making, essay writing, drawing, collage making, painting, quizzes, video presentations, speeches, puzzle solving, picture solving, seminars, model making, and the creation of teaching-learning materials based on National Space Day.

To inspire both students and teachers, special emphasis was placed on modules about ‘Chandrayaan.’ These modules are to be popularised across schools and training institutes in the state. Additionally, special classes, workshops, demonstrations, and lectures were organised, highlighting ISRO’s achievements, including Chandrayaan, Aditya, and other advancements in space technology.

Students were also encouraged to register on the “Bharat on the Moon” portal. In support of these efforts, a special 30-minute video is being developed by NCERT for online classes, based on the Chandrayaan modules. The video link was shared across social media platforms and distributed to all schools to ensure wide accessibility.

All programmes were meticulously supervised by Additional District Education Officer Pabitra Mohan Sahu and Pedagogy Coordinator Shradhanjali Dash from Samagra Shiksha Kalahandi, ensuring the success of the event.
