Nilesh Nag will be honored with Narada Samman
Barta Samman will be awarded to Bikash Sarangi, Uttam Das, Khageswar Kumar, Nilakantha Behera, and Santosh Tula
Narla (Lingraj Mishra): Young journalist Jagadish Naik will receive this year’s prestigious ‘Devgiri Sambadikata Samman.’ Mr. Naik, deeply involved in addressing the challenges faced by people in the lower strata of society, developed a passion for folklore and journalism during his student years. Currently serving as a block representative for the daily ‘Sakala,’ he has carved a unique niche in journalism, covering Kalahandi and Odisha with distinctive news. Similarly, emerging journalist Nilesh Kumar Nag will be presented with this year’s prestigious ‘Devgiri Narad Samman.’ Mr. Nag, excelling as the President of PEW Media Association, Lanjigarh, has distinguished himself through unconventional news delivery and is associated with various institutions as an art organizer. Currently, he serves as the Kalahandi district representative for ‘Odia Barta.’
Additionally, journalists Bikash Sarangi, Uttam Kumar Dash, Khageswar Kumar, Nilakantha Behera, and Santosh Tula will receive the esteemed ‘Devgiri Barta Samman’ in recognition of their accomplishments in news delivery. Bikash, currently the District Representative of ‘Nandighosha TV,’ has actively contributed to the media for the past decade, showcasing creative news delivery. Uttam has been with ‘Dharitri’ for the last 11 years, serving as the district representative for the newspaper. Senior journalist Khageswar has established himself as the district representative for ‘Dumani Khabar’ and ‘Dumani Mail.’ Nilakantha represents ‘Anupam Bharat’ and ‘Argus News,’ addressing public issues and promoting administrative efficiency. Santosh, active in journalism for 15 years and currently working with ‘Bada Khabar,’ has become a beloved figure among the less privileged for his news broadcasts.
During the 31st annual function of Devgiri Sanskrutik Anusthan and the state-level Kumarswami Mahotsav-2023, scheduled from November 25 to 27 at Burdhipadar under Narla Block of Kalahandi, the President of the organization, Sanjay Dhangadamajhi, and General Secretary Sunil Dhangadamajhi announced the promotion of these talents.
