Koraput: A three-day low-cost no-cost hands on activity on physics workshop was held at Government High School Koraput from 9th to 11th November. Koraput District Additional Education Officer, District Science Supervisor, Headmaster of the School and Block Education Officers from different blocks attended the opening ceremony of the program and emphasized on how to make science education enjoyable. Dr. Amit Jana (Kolkata), Mr. Santosh Kumar Kar and Mr. Anil Kumar Nanda act as facilitators in this program and imparted training on how science can be easily understood and learned through various hand made low cost and no cost items. Anumita Mallick (Kolkata) was the obsesver from DST. The program was organized under the auspices of Samantha Chandrasekhar Science Club, Santaragadia Baleshwar, with the support of Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. 50 teachers from different high schools of Koraput, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri and Rayagada districts participated in this program. Manas Kumar Raul, Tapan Kumar Bhuyan, Sushree Samaya Naik and Pradosh Ranjan Patra contributed to the success of the program. Officials and stakeholders present at the program held under the coordination of Smt. Smita Raul. They said that it is absolutely necessary for the current learning environment.
