Rayagada (Siba Narayan Goud): Previously 6 accused persons were arrested and in continuation Master mind Niranjan Kedia (45), S/o-Sagarmal Kedia of Tusra, PS-Tusra, Dist-Bolangir who conspired with other accused persons Sunil Kumar Singh of Dangosorda under munighuda PS and others in procuring huge quantity of cannabis from Dangosorda area and cunningly transported them hidden in a truck loaded with rice husk bags to Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh state in order to sell at an exorbitant price. The vehicle was caught on the way near kutragada on SH 5 by Police. Six persons including Sunil Kumar Singh were arrested. During investigation police found that the important member of this gang is Niranjan Kedia of Balangir.
A special squad was formed to arrest him. With much difficulty and professional work he was apprehended from Bolangir by special Squad. During interrogation its learnt that he is a civil contractor and a businessman who owns three rice mills in Bolangir and Kalahandi district, one stone crusher unit and deals with inter-state transporting activities too. Previously he has been involved in two other criminal cases. Investigation in this case is continuing by Muniguda PS with Case No-131 Dtd- 03.10.2020 U/5-20 (b) (ii) (C)/25/27 (A)/29 NDPS Act.
