Gadyansh Yuva Pratibha Samman to Sudhir Dhangdamajhi

Kalahandi (Nilesh Kumar Nag): Gadyansh Yuva Pratibha Samman-2022 will be awarded to young writer, editor, announcer, actor and culture organizer Sudhir Kumar Dhangdamajhi. Khirod Bihari Biswal, editor of the monthly fiction magazine ‘Gadyansh’, said that this honor is being given to him for his contribution to prose literature. Sudhir, son of Pratima Dhangdamajhi and Jadumani Dhangdamajhi of Budhipadar village of Narla block of Kalahandi district, is a writer in various fields of literature like story, poem, essay, translation, feature etc. He has also contributed to acting in films and theatre, presenting programs on radio and Doordarshan. His short story collection ‘Khangar’ won the Timepass Bestseller Award-2021 and has been shortlisted for the 2020 and 2021 Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar. Working as CRCC in Education Department, Sudhir is Convener of Global Liferature Foundation, Joint Secretary of Devgiri Sanskrutik Anusthan, Advisor to Kalahandi Yuva Lekhak Samabesh, Sub-Editor of Literary-Journal Sahitya Katha. He has been honored by various organizations including Kalahandi Yuva Pratibha Samman by Mahabir Sanskrutik Anushthan, Laxmikant Saha Smruti Samman by Chetabani Sahitya Sansad and invited as guest writer in the 39th World Congress of Poets organized by World Association for Art and Culture and Mulakat programme organized by Sahitya Akademi. He will be honored on the occasion of Gadyansh Utsav at Madanapur beach in Balasore.
