Bhubaneshwar: As a part of celebrations under ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ to commemorate 75 years of India’s Independence, the Govt. of India along with the Govt. of Odisha is celebrating “Ujjwal Bharat – Ujjwal Bhavishya Power @2047 to highlight the key achievements of the Power Sector. The aim of the event is to educate the general public on the importance of power and highlight the progress in the field of electricity since independence and also to sensitize on energy conservation, consumer rights, electrification for every home, energy storage for future and its renewable sources, through screening of films, nukkad nataks and cultural performances.
In Mayurbhanj District, the ceremony will be held on 27th July at Kalyan Mandap at Rairangpur and on 28th July at Shahid Smriti Bhawan, Baripada both at 3 pm. With the cooperation and guidance of the government and the district administration, ERLDC POSOCO in association with OPTCL and TPNODL is jointly organising the program in two locations of Mayurbhanj district to carry out the grand celebrations.
