Royal Enfield Himalayan gets updated with two new colour options. These new colour options make the motorcycle look a lot more interesting and also gives customers a wider choice of colour options to choose from to suit their personal taste. The first colour option is called the ‘Dune Brown’, and this colour closely resembles the ‘Desert Storm’ colour option that was once available on the special edition Royal Enfield Classic 500 motorcycle. A similar colour option called the ‘Desert Sand’ was also available on the Royal Enfield Classic 350. However, unlike these above-mentioned colour options, the ‘Dune Brown’ colour option sports a camouflage-like pattern, much like the existing Pine Green colour option. The next new colour option is called the ‘Glacial Blue’, and this colour option is also not entirely new, as a similar colour option called the ‘Lagoon Blie’ was earlier offered with the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Classic 500 motorcycles. However, unlike the ‘Dune Storm’ colour option, the ‘Glacial Blue’ does not sport any patterns and offers a seamless and smooth finish that is unique and vibrant. Apart from that, in addition to these two new colour options, the new Royal Enfield Himalayan is also available in 9 different colour options. Speaking about the Royal Enfield Himalayan, this motorcycle from Royal Enfield could be credited for popularising the adventure-tourer motorcycle segment in India, and this motorcycle competes directly against the Hero Xpulse 200, despite both motorcycles being vastly different from each other. At present, the Royal Enfield Himalayan motorcycle is powered by a 411cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected, SOHC engine. This engine produces 24.3bhp of peak power and 32Nm of peak torque. Moreover, the Royal Enfield Himalayan sports a 5-speed gearbox. At the front, the Royal Enfield Himalayan also sports very unconventional 21-inch spoke wheels for added off-road ability. Moreover, braking duties are handled by a 300mm disc brake at the front and a 240mm disc brake at the rear. Though the Royal Enfield is a decent adventure-touring motorcycle, the motorcycle feels slightly underpowered compared to motorcycles such as KTM Adventure 390, Bajaj Dominar 400 and a few more. To overcome this problem, Royal Enfield has been developing a new Himalayan motorcycle with a much more potent powertrain and a longer standard feature list. According to sources, the heart of the upcoming Royal Enfield 450 is a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, that is expected to produce around 45bhp of peak power. However, the peak power of this engine will be sacrificed for better low-end and mid-range performance. Apart from that, the upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 will feature a 6-speed gearbox. In addition to that, we also expect Royal Enfield to soon launch the model in the Indian market to further sid the overall sales. However, we are not sure if the new model will be sold alongside the existing Himalayan range of motorcycles.
