Kalahandi, Yadu News Nation (Lingaraj Mishra): Agni Bhairav’s Jamu Yatra was held with great enthusiasm in Ratul village of Badadharpur panchayat, Narla block, Kalahandi district. This yatra has been organized in Ratul village for more than 200 years. Agni Bhairav of Ratul village is a great deity, the people of the area have deep faith in her. Therefore, like other years, thousands of devotees joined this Jamu Yatra this year also and sought blessings from Agni Bhairav. Uddhab Dora, Madhusudan Dora, Parameswar Majhi, Akshay Majhi, Mohan Dora, Jagat Ram Majhi, Santosh Patra, Tikechan Gahir were affected by Kalisi. Agni Bhairavi showed his power by walking in fire. The leaders of this yatra are Bala Dora, Narendra Dora, Jayaram Dora. They are in charge of the Kalisis. On this occasion, the devotees offered offerings to the deity. There is a Shiva temple near the Agni Bhairav temple. Therefore, intellectuals and villagers have expressed their opinion that if government assistance was provided to these two temples, the Jhamu Yatra and Shivaratri would have been held smoothly. Meanwhile, Nilakantha Dora, Fakir Dora, Bheka Dora, Chaitu Dora, Girihari Goud, Gobardhan Goud, Madan Sahu, Ghasiram Harijan, Tunu Pabitra Gahir, Nepal Dora, Jani Dora, Budu Majhi and the villagers cooperated in the management of this year’s Jhamu Yatra.
