Kalahandi, Yadu New Nation (Lingaraj Mishra): The grand Chhatar Yatra of Devi Dokri, the presiding deity of Madanpur Rampur, has concluded with great joy. A secret puja was held at Jenagudi in front of the new police station on Tuesday morning. After this, the chief worshiper Ashok Kumar Panda left Jenagudi at 6 am carrying the Chhatar of Dokri. Artists welcomed the goddess with the rhythm of Singh Baja, Ghumura, Dulduli, Ghant Dal, Dhapa and tribal dances. Thousands of people came on to see this Chhatar Yatra. The Devi’s Chhatar came on the main road and reached the Dokri temple in Rajbhati. King Budhendra Pratap Singhdeo Wellcome the Chhatar and took the mother inside the temple and placed her on the throne. After that, the worshippers, the king and the lord performed the Puja rituals in a secret manner inside the temple. Prakash Thakur said that the worship of Dokri Devi from the Naga dynasty kings of Madanpur Rampur has been taking place under the supervision of the king till today.
