The Chhatar left Jenakhal on Tuesday morning at 5.15 am and headed towards Maa Manikeswari’s temple. The devotees had darshan of Kalahandi’s Ishtadevi. The highway has been stained with blood. Once a year, Maa Manikeswari gives darshan to devotees and devotees through the Chhatar Vijaya Yatra. There is a magnificent temple of Maa Manikeswari in Rajbati in Bhawanipatna. On the eighth day of the Parvana season, the goddess goes to Jenakhal at dusk, performs secret worship there, and returns to her temple in the morning. Thousands of people wait on both sides of the road like chaats for the darshan of Maa. The cultural splendor of Manikeswari’s Chhatra Yatra has further enhanced its prestige.
