Kalahandi, YNN (Rajat Bansal): The renowned literary magazine in the realm of Odia literature, Kalahandi Kavita Andolanara Eka Saswata Spandana ‘Mahuri’, has unveiled its Sharadiya Special issue for this year. The unveiling ceremony was graced by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at his residence in Bhubaneswar. The event saw the presence of Mahuri’s Editor-in-Chief, Dr Bhawani Shankar Nial, and Editor Sukant Sahu.
Launched in 2008, Mahuri has made significant strides in preserving Odia Asmita through literature. Over the years, it has evolved into a literary movement, offering new opportunities and challenges for poets, writers, readers, and intellectuals.
Chief Minister Mr Majhi praised Mahuri for its pivotal role in promoting Kalahandi’s heritage and Odia literature. He reaffirmed his government’s commitment to protecting Odia Asmita. Editor Sukant Sahu highlighted that this issue features contributions from over two hundred writers and expressed confidence in its popularity among readers.
