Dr. Itirani Samanta shares insights on life, literature, and challenges
Kalahandi: In partnership with the Kalahandi Lekhika Sangha, Liferature organized the Liferature Milana Mehfil ‘Iti Abhibyakti’ at the Mahabir Sanskrutik Anusthan conference hall in Bhawanipatna. The event featured Dr. Itirani Samanta, the editor of ‘Kadambini’ magazine, who shared her life journey, experiences in literature, editing, and overcoming obstacles. Sudhir Kumar Dhangadamajhi, the Liferature convenor, delivered the welcome address, while Dr. Pallishree Pattanayak introduced Iti, and Parameswar Mund highlighted the achievements of ‘Kadambini@25’. Kalpana Rath and Sudeshna Panda of the Kalahandi Lekhika Sangha extended their congratulations to Kadambini. Dileswar Rana moderated the event, where Dr. Samanta was honored on the magazine’s 25th anniversary. The felicitation was presented by Rajat Bansal, the Liferature secretary. The gathering also featured performances by young vocalists Lipsa Maharana and Trinath Shyam Kumar, showcasing Kalahandia songs, and attracted literature enthusiasts from across Kalahandi district.
