New Delhi, YNN (Rajat Bansal): GRIHA, the national rating system for green buildings in India, has awarded the newly constructed Regional Office of Sahitya Akademi, Bengaluru building with 3 Star SVAGRIHA rating at its 16th Summit held at India Habitat Centre today. The award consists of a symbolic award of a GRIHA rating plaque.
GRIHA provides and issues certain benchmarks for green buildings and sustainable housing by holistically evaluating the environmental performance of a building throughout its life cycle.
GRIHA has been instituted by The Energy an Resources Institute (TERI) in collaboration with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India. The theme of this GRIHA summit was ‘Accelerating Climate Action in the Built Environment’.
