Kalahandi District Launches Nipun Odisha Logo in a Grand Ceremony

Kalahandi, YNN (Rajat Bansal): The district-level launch ceremony of the Nipun Odisha logo was held in the centenary room of Brajamohan High School, Bhawanipatna. The event, organised under the aegis of Samagra Shiksha, Kalahandi, witnessed active participation from various educational stakeholders.

Presiding over the ceremony was Sushant Kumar Chopdar, the District Education Officer and District Project Coordinator of Samagra Shiksha. The event was inaugurated by District Magistrate and Collector, Sachin Pawar Prakash, with Zilla Parishad Chairman, Pushpendra Singhdeo, attending as the chief guest.

Several esteemed guests, including Dr Deshabandhu Sahu, Principal of the District Institute of Education and Training, Kalahandi, Pabitra Mohan Sahu, Additional District Education Officer, and Shraddhanjali Dash, Pedagogy Coordinator of Samagra Shiksha, Kalahandi, were present on stage. The headmaster of Brajamohan High School, Sasthi Jhankar, was also in attendance. The meeting was skilfully moderated by Dileswar Rana, Coordinator of the Palam Cluster Resource Centre.

As part of the celebration, the Nipun Odisha logo and accompanying music were officially unveiled. To mark the occasion, students from REO Colony Upper Primary School performed a captivating short play titled “Chhu Mantar”, directed by senior teacher Minti Kumari Pradhan.

The event saw participation from Block Education Officers, Additional Block Education Officers, Cluster Resource Centre Coordinators, teachers from 13 blocks across the district, and staff from the Samagra Shiksha Office.

Nipun Odisha, a key initiative under the National Education Policy, aims to enhance foundational literacy and numeracy skills among schoolchildren. This launch marks a significant step towards strengthening the district’s commitment to quality education for all.
