Students of Jayadurga High School Narla Road Achieve Success in Asteroid Search Campaign

Kalahandi (Lingaraj Mishra): Students of Jayadurga High School, Narl Road have earned distinction by participating in an Asteroid Search Campaign. The campaign was organized through the joint efforts of Vigyan Prasar (Department of Science and Technology, Government of India), Dr. Kalam Science Club, the International Astronomical Search Collaboration (IASC), and NASA.

A total of 13 teams from different states of India participated in this campaign. From Odisha, 21 students of Pathani Samanta Science Club of Jayadurga High School, Narl Road took part in the program. The students received training from National Teacher Award-winning science teacher Mr. Santosh Kumar Kar. Other participating teams were trained by Associate National Coordinator Ms. Priyanka Behera.

All thirteen teams participating in the program were successful in making a preliminary discovery. The initiative of National Coordinator Mr. Niranjan Behera to expand this campaign to schools and colleges across Odisha and to promote a scientific temperament among students has been widely appreciated.
