Crops damaged in rain: Nuapada District Samajwadi Party President demands immediate government assistance to farmers

Nuapada, Yadu News Nation: Odisha’s normal life has been affected due to low-pressure rains. Reports of extensive damage in many areas of Nuapada district due to heavy rains are starting to emerge. Farmers in Jharanmal village of Boden block of the district are reported to have been affected by this rain. There is a risk of damage to the paddy crop to be produced due to waterlogging in the fields. Similarly, cotton crops are also damaged and there is a risk of reduced production. Many farmers are worried as they are farming on loans. Farmers and farmer organizations have demanded the administration to conduct a survey of the agricultural land as soon as possible and provide compensation to the affected farmers. Meanwhile, Digpal Nag, Samajwadi Party’s Nuapada District President, has demanded that farmers in every area of ​​the district including Jharanmal village be provided with appropriate compensation as they have been affected to varying degrees.
