Kalahandi District Hosts ‘Pravesh Utsav and Khadichhuan – 2025’ to Boost Early Education

Kalahandi, YNN (Rajat Bansal): In line with the National Education Policy 2020, aimed at strengthening pre-school and primary education, the Kalahandi district-level event “Pravesh Utsav and Khadichuan – 2025” was successfully held on Wednesday. The ceremony took place at Bapuji Upper Primary School at Bhawanipatna, under the chairmanship of District Education Officer Radhakant Chhatri.

The event saw the presence of distinguished guests, including Chief Guest DM Pawar Sachin Prakash, along with Bhawanipatna Sub-Collector Prabhat Kumar Parida, Bhawanipatna Panchayat Samiti Vice-Chairperson Pushpanjali Sahu, Additional District Education Officer Shubhalaxmi Nayak, District Culture Officer Vivekananda Mahananda, and District Information and Public Relations Officer Haladhar Nial. Bhawanipatna Block Education Officer Achari Shabar delivered the welcome address and introduced the guests, while Shraddhanjali Dash, the Pedagogy Coordinator of Samagra Shiksha Kalahandi, proposed the vote of thanks. The proceedings were ably moderated by teacher Dileswar Rana.

A key highlight of the occasion was the enrolment pof 21 students into the Bal Vatika and Class 1 at Bapuji Upper Primary School. The new students were warmly welcomed with flowers and tilak, and the DM distributed government-provided kits to them. The event also featured showcasing literacy station, numeracy station, and creative station, reflecting the emphasis on holistic early education.

Adding to the festivities, the DM flagged off an awareness rally to promote education initiatives in the region. The event underscored the district’s commitment to enhancing foundational learning, aligning with national goals to ensure quality education for all.
