Deogarh: A 35-year-old farmer was reportedly killed by a wild elephant while guarding his paddy field at Chirugunikudar village under Riamal forest range.
The deceased has been identified Bhagya Kisan.
According to reports, the incident occurred when Kisan was guarding his paddy field yesterday night. Meanwhile, a wild elephant attacked Kisan resulting in his death on the spot.
On being informed, Forest department officials reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem, sources added.
