Sinapali, YNN: The Navanna Utsav was celebrated with great pomp and splendour at the Mahima Ashram located in Nilji under Sinapali block of Nuapada district on Friday. On the auspicious occasion of Shravana Purnima, the Akhanda Brahma Dhuni was kindled and bhajan-kirtan was organised. After offering the Navanna (new harvest) to the Lord, all Mahima Dharma adherents sat together and partook of the new grain.
Sadhu Prabhakar Das Maharaj, a central guiding member of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and a propagandist of the Akhil Bharatiya Dharma Vibhag, personally distributed the Navanna bhog to all the devotees. After consuming the Navanna, the assembled faithful sought the blessings of the revered sadhu and later exchanged salutations among themselves. It is noteworthy that over 60 families of Nilji village are followers of the Satya Sanatan Mahima Dharma and have forged a strong bond of fraternal unity among themselves. The Navanna Utsav witnessed active cooperation from Gobinda Tyagi and other villagers in making the event a success.
