Kalahandi, Yadu News Nation (Lingaraj Mishra): A two-day Sane Majhi Memorial Football Tournament is being organized at the Adivasi playground in Gunapur, Narla Block. The game was inaugurated on Sunday and will conclude on Monday. The Sane Majhi Memorial Football Tournament is being organized for the first year in collaboration with Khamanpada Football Team. The young social worker Chauban Majhi, the son of the late Sane Majhi, officially launched the sports competition. Eight teams participated in it. Senior PET Narayan Padhan, teacher and poet Kshetish Chandra Majhi, senior sports ace Trilochan Gaudiya, and representative of Gadebandh Gram Panchayat Samiti Member Ajit Kumar Sahu attended the inaugural match as guests. In other matches on the first day, Gunapur Guntia Ketan Majhi, Dasharath Jani, Mahalaxmi Youth Association President Ganesh Munda, Suresh Majhi were the guests who encouraged the players. In Sunday’s game, Takkarla, Kusumpada, Kesinga Budhadangar football teams and Borguda team have qualified for the semi-finals. The final and semi-final games will be held on Monday. The organizing committee has informed that the winning and runner-up teams will be awarded prizes and trophies.
