Kalahandi, YNN (Lingaraj Mishra): A preparatory meeting has been conducted to organise the Silver Jubilee celebrations of Jagannath High School, Rupra, under Narla Block of Kalahandi district.
The meeting, chaired by Headmaster Mrutyunjaya Behera, saw the participation of former students who shared their views. Established in 1989, the school has educated over 3,000 students to date. Many of its alumni have attained high-ranking positions and received recognitions at national level.

Among the notable former students and staff in attendance were international mountaineer Jogabyasa Bhoi, Sahitya Akademi Award-winning writer Dileswar Rana, social worker Susanta Senapati, retired army officer Bhupendra Deep, and former students Jashobanta Sahu, Tejaraj Sahu, Durga Sahu, Kumuda Sahu, Suresh Sahu, Jitendra Pattanayak, Ajit Bhoi and Debendra Sahu.
Teaching staff present included Sudam Mishra, Bijaya Sahu, Chandrasekhar Behera, Radhakanta Senapati and Bikram Goud.
