Bhawanipatna, YNN: The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Pragati Institutions, located in Raisingpur near Bhawanipatna town.
The event was graced by senior journalist and author, Mr. Umashankar Kar, as the chief guest. Among others present were administrative officer Pranab Kumar Panda, principal Arsiya Saela, Chinmaya Guru, Lokanath Khadikar, Seshadev Mund, Tapas Parimanik, Akash Nand, physical education teacher Sashibhushan Das, along with all staff members, students, and parents.
The chief guest, Mr. Kar, hoisted the national flag, followed by the students singing the national anthem. On this occasion, the students of the institution presented a cultural programme.
Additionally, prizes were distributed to meritorious students who had excelled in competitions held earlier for Independence Day. The programme was anchored by teacher Subhashree Jena, while administrative officer Pranab Panda proposed the vote of thanks.
