Kalahandi, YNN (Rajat Bansal): The 115th Shiksha Chetana Abhiyan (Education Awareness Campaign) was held at Government Girls’ High School, Junagarh, Kalahandi, under the joint auspices of Global Liferature Foundation and Professor Bhubaneswar Behera Memorial Youth Organisation. The event was chaired by the school’s headmistress, Binapani Samanta, and featured Khagesh Baipai, Field Publicity Officer from the Central Bureau of Communications, Bhawanipatna, as the chief guest. Retired Block Education Officer Nabakishore Padhi, educationist Basanta Naik, youth writer Dileswar Rana, poet Trinathshyam Kumar, and Foundation Secretary Rajat Bansal attended as guests of honour and shared their views, emphasising that such initiatives have proven to be educational and enlightening for students.
As part of the programme, quizzes on Jagannath culture, Odia language, literature, biographies of great personalities, history and civics, mathematics, science, general knowledge, the Odia calendar, and festivals were conducted for the students, with prizes awarded to the top performers. Organisation Secretary Abinash Mund led the quizzes, while teacher Ajit Kumar Satnami served as the judge. Teachers Ranjitabala Rath and Lopamudra Mohanty acted as scorekeepers.
On this occasion, teachers Bibhuti Bhushan Naik, Shankara Bhoi, Manjumala Jagat, Pratimamayee Panda, Janamati Naik, and Swarnaprabha Sahu also made notable contributions to the success of the programme.
