Bhubaneswar: Odissi dancers are popular for their breathtaking performances all across the globe. Like all other Indian classical dances, Odissi dance also has its origin in the ritual dances that were performed in the temple premises of Odisha. The rhythm, bhangis and mudras of the Odissi dancers have a distinct style of their own. The Odissi dancers mainly perform on the theme of infinite love of Lord Krishna and Radha.
The beautiful mudras depicting mythology, the expressions depicting a real act without speaking, the beautiful dresses of dancers glazing in lights, beautiful ornaments and graceful positions- this is the flawless tradition of one of the oldest surviving dance forms of India called Odissi. Born into a middle-class family, Sriya’s journey into the world of dance began with a profound desire to stay connected with Lord.
Sriyashree Pati Born in 1996 ,who has an enriching experience of more than 12 years under the able guidance of Guru Smt Puspita Mishra, who is a recipient of Padmashree Guru Pankaj Charan Das. She undergoing post graduate course in fashion designing, completed schooling from Stewart School & Completed Sangeet Visharad final(5th year) securing 1st division with distinction in practical

I am a keen learner and a patient listener. I have interests in the field of art and culture and I developed my liking towards art since I was a toddler. My journey in dance is something I cherish and I will for my entire life, I am thankful to my teacher who was always there for me through my highs and lows, supporting me and motivating me to always move forward whatever the situation was.
