Kalahandi, YNN (Rajat Bansal): The holy festival of Janmastami was celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm at Pragati Junior Wings in Bhawanipatna city. The celebration commenced with the offering of Aalati to Prabhu Srikrishna by the Institute’s head, Ajay Kumar Panda, and Sushree Sangeeta Panda.
The event featured a series of cultural programmes performed by the students, which captivated the audience. Principal Arsia Saela, Administrative Officer Pranab Panda, along with all the teachers, students, parents, and guardians, were present to witness the festivities.
One of the highlights of the celebration was the enchanting Radhakrishna Besha and dance performances by the little students, which drew much admiration. The excitement continued with the Dahi Handi breaking competition, where the students showcased their enthusiasm and teamwork, captivating everyone present.
The smooth execution of each programme was made possible with the dedicated efforts of the teachers. Ajay Kumar Panda, the head of the institute, emphasised the importance of celebrating such festivals at the school level. He stated, “The purpose of celebrating these festivals is to instil goodwill in the minds of the students and to acquaint them with the religious and cultural sentiments behind various festivals.”
