Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted moderate thunderstorm activity with lightning and gusty surface wind over few districts of Odisha.
“Light to moderate Thunderstorm with Lightning and Light to Moderate rain likely to affect some parts of district of Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, Angul, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Nuapada, Bolangir, Boudh and Ganjam during next three hours. People are advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect from lightning strike,” the bulletine read.
The IMD’s Regional Centre in Bhubaneswar has also advised people to keep watch on the weather and take safe shelter during thunderstorm activity for protection from lightning and follow traffic advisories in urban areas.
